Note di degustazione
First made in 2014, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon is a smoking wine that’s put together by Celia Welch and pulled from lots from all her clients, so the blend changes every year. This 2016 is well worth your time and money. Giving up classic Cabernet notes of crème de cassis and tobacco leaf, it offers medium to full body, beautiful elegance and purity, fine tannins, and the hallmark seamlessness and balance of all of Celia’s wines. Drink it any time over the coming 15 years or more.

Kerrin Laz's Cabernet Sauvignon is terrific in 2016, and a clear step up from her first two releases. Bright, perfumed and silky, the 2016 captures all the finesse the vintage has to offer. Floral notes add accents of nuance to a core of red cherry and plum fruit. Lifted, sensual and super-expressive, the 2016 is a winner.
Celia Welch is the winemaker here. A blend of 94% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Merlot and 2% Petit Verdot aged 20 months in 60% new French oak, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon is very deep purple-black in color and comes strutting out of the glass with bold notions of charcuterie, garrigue, tobacco leaf, eucalypt and wood smoke with a core of crème de cassis, baked black cherries and dried mulberries with hints of oolong tea and hoisin. The palate is full-bodied, rich and concentrated with a firm frame of ripe, fine-grained tannins and loads of freshness, finishing long with loads of layers. 125 cases produced.
