Note di degustazione
Good deep red. Sappy, perfumed aromas of black cherry, licorice and flowers. Primary, bright and tightly wound, with nicely delineated flavors of maraschino cherry, crushed rocks, licorice, minerals and menthol. Densely packed, masculine and firmly tannic, with excellent persistence. If the Baudes calls for six or seven years of patience, this will need eight or nine.

The plummy aromatics of the 2002 Morey-St.-Denis Les Millandes lead to a powerful, deep, fresh, grapy character. This lively, high-toned wine is medium-bodied, packed with zesty fruits, and reveals a tannic, firm finish. Drink it between 2007 and 2012. Importer: Robert Kacher Selections, Washington, DC; tel. Full ruby-red. Small wild black fruits, mocha and leather on the nose. Very ripe but peppery and penetrating, with purple fruit, dark chocolate and licorice flavors. In a more masculine, powerful style, like SerafinÂ’s Cazetiers, with restrained sweetness. Rather medicinal finish shows some tough tannins.
