Note di degustazione
(100% grenache that was raised entirely in concrete): Bright ruby-red. Black raspberry, lavender and spices on the fragrant nose and in the mouth. Juicy and nicely concentrated, with strong finishing cut, lingering spiciness and integrated tannins that provide shape and grip.

Chapoutier’s 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape La Bernardine (100% Grenache) exhibits notes of loamy soil, cranberries, black cherries, bouquet garni and a touch of licorice. Medium to full-bodied and pure with good acidity, more minerality than is normally found in this cuvee, and a long finish, it should drink well for 10-15 years. Bright ruby-red. Aromas of red and dark berries are complicated by floral and allspice nuances, with a kick of white pepper adding vibrancy. Sharply focused black raspberry and bitter cherry flavors offer both power and vivacity, with dusty tannins providing back-end grip. Closes up with air but there's clearly a lot of sappy fruit here.
