Punteggio 91/100 · Da bere 2025-2029, Matthew Luczy, Wine Advocate, Oct 2025

One of the more accessible and immediate single-variety bottlings, the 2023 Counoise leads with a delicate red-fruited bouquet accented by bramble and citrus aromas. The palate is juicy, plush and refreshing, braced with a high-toned, racy energy that carries through the nuanced, layered and delicious finish.

Punteggio 16.5/20 · Da bere 2025-2029, Jancis Robinson MW, Mar 2025

This is fermented in stainless steel or big wooden foudres and aged in neutral oak. Bottled after 18 months. Certified regenerative (ROC), biodynamic (Demeter) and organic (CCOF). Medium ruby. Fresh and leafy with spiced red fruit. More tannin than expected with a texture like licking velvet. Fruit flavour not too thick – refreshing and spicy. Lurking earthiness under fruit and spice. Lengthy acidity drives through the finish. (SCJ)

The 2023 Counoise is perfumed with a mix of rose petals, violets, wild berries and sweet spice. Soothingly round, it offers ripe blackberries offset by a tart cranberry tinge as pretty inner florals amass toward the close. Crisp and wonderfully fresh, the 2023 leaves a gentle mineral crunch and a nuance of licorice to linger. It is hard to stop at one glass, and at just 12.5% alcohol by volume (abv.), it would not hurt either.
