2014 Charles Krug - Cabernet Sauvignon Limited Release Cold Springs Vineyard

The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Limited Release Cold Springs, a Howell Mountain AVA, is 94% Cabernet Sauvignon and 6% Petit Verdot. This is a stunner, with rich concentrated mulberry, blackberry and cassis fruit, licorice, graphite and floral notes. It is medium to full-bodied, beautifully pure with not a hint of oak, but has well-integrated tannin, acidity and alcohol. This wine can be drunk now or cellared for another 20 or more years. It’s good to see this level of quality.
