Lots of ripe melon, Meyer lemon, toasted nut, and a touch of minerality emerge from the 2018 Chardonnay Beckstoffer Carneros Lake Vineyard, another rich, textured, yet beautifully balanced Chardonnay from this estate. It opens up nicely with time in the glass and is going to evolve gracefully for 3-5 years, if not longer.

The 2018 Chardonnay Beckstoffer Carneros Lake Vineyard is youthfully shy to begin, requiring a little coaxing to reveal a beautiful perfume of orange blossoms, honey-drizzled white peaches and ripe pears with suggestions of marzipan, fresh ginger and butterscotch. The medium-bodied palate is tightly wound, silken-textured and delivers loads of savory nuances intertwined with the intense stone fruit and spicy layers, finishing with a minerally skip in it step. Gorgeous Chardonnay!
