The 2020 Chardonnay Beckstoffer Lake Vineyard comes from the Carneros AVA and it’s a beautifully rich, textured, medium to full-bodied effort offering classic notes of honeyed stone fruits, white peach, almond paste, and hints of toast. It’s a rich, textured Chardonnay, yet it also stays remarkably well balanced, has good acidity, and a clean, lengthy finish. It’s a terrific wine to drink over the coming 2-4 years.

Impressive focus and intensity here, but subtle at the same time, with a creamy, pure and layered nose, showing an engaging mineral touch to the lemon-curd and salted-pineapple character. Full-bodied and zingy on the palate, with a fresh streak of acidity that drives it to a elegantly long finish. A chardonnay that you can drink now or hold.
