Last Tasted 6/92 The 1985 Clos Frantin Les Malconsorts is turning out to be a terrific example of the vintage. The color is still a dark ruby/purple, and the nose has opened to reveal scents of sweet, jammy black fruits, flowers, leather, and herbs. This voluptuously styled wine, which has shed much of its tannin and thrown considerable sediment, possesses lavish amounts of fruit, a nice touch of subtle new oak, and a long, opulent finish. It should continue to drink well for 8-10 more years. Impressive!

The astonishingly rich, deep, sublime Vosne-Romanee Les Malconsorts is absolutely superb. The wines from the Clos Frantin vineyards in the Cote de Nuits and their Chablis estate, Long-Depaquit, rank with the finest made in Burgundy.
Informazioni sul produttore

Although the Bichot family settled in the region in 1350, Albert Bichot was founded in 1831 by Bernard Bichot. Today the producer is one of Burgundy’s most respected, making wines from both its own vineyards and with purchased fruit.
