Note di degustazione
Full ruby. Smoky dark berry and cola aromas are lifted by notes of white pepper and allspice. Juicy, penetrating and appealingly sweet black raspberry and cherry-cola flavors show very good clarity and cut. Closes with strong spicy thrust, silky tannins and impressive length, leaving bitter cherry and allspice notes behind.

The 2009 Pinot Noir San Andreas Fault comes across as quite introverted, yet it boasts considerable energy that needs further bottle age to fully emerge. There is tremendous depth to the fruit in this muscular Pinot. Clean, saline notes frame the highly expressive, vibrant finish.
Anticipated maturity: 2013-2019. This is a thrilling set of wines from Hirsch that captures the essence of everything that makes the Sonoma Coast so compelling. The wines are made with natural primary and secondary fermentations and are bottled without fining or filtration. Tel. (707) 847-3600
Crimson. Rather simple fermented fruit gums nose. Plus oak. Not integrated, though not too sweet. Leathery effect on the palate. Bit sour on the finish. (JR)
