The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Clone 6 is rich, thick and sweet. Super-ripe red cherry, kirsch, tobacco, mint, anise and red plum are all pushed forward. I would prefer to drink this fruity, straightforward Cabernet over the next handful of years. My impression is that the Clone 6 could be a materially more complete wine if it had a bit more mid-palate resonance an less obvious alcoholic heat.

The deep purple-black colored 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Clone 6 is a total rock star, strutting flamboyant blackcurrant cordial, Black Forest cake, blackberry pie and licorice scents with hints of sandalwood, cigar box and Indian spices. Medium to full-bodied and boldly fruited in the mouth, the palate has a seductive frame of firm yet velvety tannins and compelling freshness, finishing with great length.
