1991 Mayacamas Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley

Medium red. Fully mature scents of plum, redcurrant, leather, spices and cedar. The red fruit, mineral and herb flavors are nicely framed by integrated acidity, but the slightly pungent earth and leather notes give the fruit a faint hard edge. Still plenty of life and intensity here but in a rather hard mountain style, and showing some leathery rusticity. Finishes with a firm tannic spine. (12.8% alcohol)
