The second wine of this château, the 2024 Le Dragon De Quintus is 78.5% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc. It brings more density and depth, with a lively, red and black-fruited style as well as medium-bodied richness and depth. It's nicely balanced, has fine tannins, no hard edges, and considerable charm.

Deep garnet-purple colored. Needs a little swirling to bring out notes of red currant preserves and Morello cherries, with hints of dusty soil, cardamom, and Sichuan pepper. The light to medium-bodied palate is pure and racy with silky tannins and a lifted finish.
The 2024 Dragon de Quintus exhibits aromas of cassis, pencil shavings and bay leaf, followed by a medium to full-bodied, polished but tangy palate.
Medium intensity plum colour, good density with a touch of grilled oak, well integrated and softly smoky, raspberry leaf, white pepper and redcurrant fruit through the palate. 35hl/h yield, 33% new oak.

Ch. Quintus is the flagship Saint-Emilion estate of Domaine Clarence Dillon (owners of Ch. Haut-Brion and Ch. la Mission Haut-Brion). Following the purchase of Ch. Tertre Daugay in 2011 and Ch. l’Arrosée in 2013, the two were merged to form Ch. Quintus. The first vintage of the wine was 2011.
