A fruity and crunchy red, showing dark berries, dark cherries, dark chocolate and hints of walnuts. Medium- to light-bodied with fine tannins and a fresh, medium finish. A blend of 63% merlot, 20% cabernet sauvignon and 17% cabernet franc.

A blend of 63% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the rest Cabernet Franc, raised mostly in foudre, the 2024 Château Quinault L'Enclos is deep ruby/purple-hued with solid aromatics of ripe darker berries, subtle cassis, graphite, and tobacco. It's medium-bodied, has a pure, elegant mouthfeel, fine-grained tannins, and outstanding length.
Aromas of sweet plums, lilac and orange zest introduce the 2024 Quinault l'Enclos, a medium-bodied, supple, polished red that's round and succulent. It will drink well on release.
Earthy with plenty of charming bright fruits, cherry pit and raspberry, carefully extracted, a little soft on the finish but moreish, with personality. Potential upscore in bottle. Long maceration, as usual using no press wine at all. July and August just 20mm of rain each month, well below 30 year average, 140mm rain in September, highest rain since 2006, harvest September 18 to October 3, 20hl/h yield. No longer sold En Primeur. No 225l barrels here, entirely large oak casks, 3.65ph.
