Checking in as 87% Merlot and 13% Cabernet Franc harvested from the 24th of September to the 7th of October, the 2024 Château Plince is deep ruby-hued with impressive aromatics of ripe black cherries, chocolatey oak, damp earth, and underbrush. It's medium-bodied, has a round, layered, nicely concentrated mouthfeel, and ripe, present tannins. I think it's clearly going to be an outstanding wine and should have 10-12+ years of longevity. Tasted twice.

Aromas of currants, berries and toasty oak introduce the 2024 Plince, a medium-bodied, clean and balanced effort that represents a strong performance for the vintage.
Carefully extracted fresh and floral aromatics, slim but enjoyable just-ripe berry fruits, fresh acidities that are a little too much, making things austere. Give it time to soften, as the final impression is of an unfussy early-drinking wine. Moreau family owners, 30% new oak. Grape variety given is as planted, not specific to the 2024 vintage. Tasted twice.
The 2024 Plince is a bit burly, but it offers very good depth in this vintage. Dark-toned fruit, cedar, leather, incense, tobacco and grilled herbs lend a brooding, virile quality to Plince that is palpable. There's quite a bit of potential here.
