The 2024 Loudenne Le Chateau is laced with blue/purplish fruit, lavender, chocolate and licorice. Today, it comes across as a bit rustic and rough around the edges, especially in its contours. This may be recovering from a recent racking. We will see.

The 2024 Lousteauneuf has a decent blackberry- and espresso-tinged bouquet that has a little more delineation than some of its peers. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly tough tannins. It is a more muscular Médoc with some grip on the finish. Fine.

Attractive cherry pit and cassis fruits, good lift and juice but the tannins are hard and close things down. 15hl/h yield after hail in June. Harvest 3 October.
