Note di degustazione
A blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2024 Château Gazin reveals darker berries, tobacco, graphite, and leafy tobacco aromatics. Beautifully textured, round, and opulent on the palate, it shows plenty of mid-palate depth and ripe tannins.

Aromas of minty berries and toasty oak introduce the 2024 Gazin, a medium-bodied, fleshy and layered wine that concludes with a touch of chewy structure.
Often a more serious, closed style of Pomerol during the En Primeur tastings, and this starts with subdued aromatics. Give it time in the glass and I suggest waiting a good few years before drinking, as there are firm tannins here, and black fruits with liqourice root spice. This may take a few years to reveal its Pomerol joy, but there is plenty of have confidence in. 23.4 hl/ha, Nicolas and Elise de Bailliencourt now at the estate, the next generation of the family. Tasted twice.
The 2024 Gazin is classy and elegant, even if it is a bit strict at this stage. Rose petal, mint, blood orange and cinnamon meld into a core of red-toned fruit. There's gorgeous textural depth and resonance here. Clean saline notes extend the finish. All this needs is a bit of polish and pliancy in the mid-palate, but élevage should take care of that. Gazin is distinguished in 2024 by its unusually high presence of Cabernet Sauvignon (10%), along with 90% Merlot and no Cabernet Franc in this vintage. Harvest started on September 20. Tasted three times.
