The 2024 Citran offers pencil shaving-infused black fruit on the nose. It's vigorous and focused, if just a bit simple. The palate is a little sweeter than expected and fleshy in style, with gentle grip and a deft touch of spice on the finish. The 2024 is not a long-term prospect but I consider this well crafted.

A balanced, crunchy and powdery red with dark cherries and some tar. It’s medium-bodied with silky tannins. Soft and mellow with a medium finish.
55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc. Cask sample. Dark- and red-berry aromas. Juicy and easy-going on the palate. Light in weight and structure but should make pleasant early drinking. (JL)
