Note di degustazione
Glimmering red. Ripe red berries, potpourri, vanilla and a hint of incense on the assertively perfumed nose, which is sharpened and lifted by a building mineral quality. Silky and energetic on the palate, offering alluringly sweet, spice-laced cherry, raspberry liqueur and rose pastille flavors and a touch of five-spice powder. Becomes deeper with air, with no loss of liveliness, and finishes very long and silky, delivering solid, spicy thrust, fine-grained tannins and a repeating floral pastille note. (all de-stemmed fruit; aged for 15 months in 40% new French oak)

The Temperance Hill vineyard was planted in 1990 and sits at 750 feet in elevation. The 2016 Temperance Hill Pinot Noir is pale to medium ruby-purple with a beautiful nose of tar and violets over a core of blueberries preserves, black cherries and berries plus earthy notions of forest floor, black tea leaf and blood orange peel. Medium-bodied, it fills the mouth with warm black cherries and violets, with fine-grained tannins and great freshness, finishing very long with a streak of crushed rock minerality. 125 cases produced.
