1993 Rubicon Estate Zinfandel Edizione Pennino

This is the finest Zinfandel the Niebaum-Coppola estate has yet produced. Unfortunately, there are only 600 cases, most of which is gobbled up by California consumers and Napa/Sonoma restaurants. The 1993 exhibits a deep ruby/purple color, a sweet, fragrant nose of black-cherries, spices, and earth, a ripe, sweet inner-core of fruit, medium to full body, a supple texture, adequate acidity, and a fleshy, well-focused, moderately long finish.
