Note di degustazione
Recently re-released by Frog’s Leap. The 2004 harvest was a relatively early vintage due to the slightly warmer conditions. Lifted and fine without any exaggeration. Great balance with a hint of coconut. Dry finish with a hint of black olive. Nice wine! Not sure it’s great value though…? (JR)

(13.6% alcohol): Bright ruby-red. Very ripe aromas of redcurrant, tobacco, mocha, tar, iron and nutty oak are lifted by a floral element. A sweet, suave midweight, showing a slightly inky quality to its black fruit, spice and torrefaction flavors. Reveals a licorice nuance and a more medicinal aspect with air. Tannins are slightly drying. Doesn't quite deliver in the mouth what the nose promises, but this wine may yet benefit from more time in bottle.
Elegant, balanced and Bordeaux-like. Pure black cherry and blackberry fruit, hints of cedar, dried herbs, graphite and spice. Indeed, it has Rutherford’s dusty tannins, and palate-cleansing acidity. (LM) $75
