The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard is an impressively endowed, dense ruby/purple-colored wine with a solid core of crème de cassis fruit, background forest floor and earth characteristics, and lots of floral notes interwoven with blue and black fruits. Full-bodied and opulent yet hiding some noteworthy structure, this is an impressive, multidimensional Cabernet Sauvignon to drink over the next 15 or so years.

Three 2012 barrel samples were presented. Sweet, ripe creme de cassis fruit aromas jump from the glass of the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III. Clearly a great vintage in Napa, this 2012 exhibits that extra dimension, full-bodied power, sweet tannins, and well-integrated acidity, wood and gobs of juicy black fruits.
