Note di degustazione
Silky tannins, fairly bedded down with raspberry, redcurrant, tobacco and black pepper notes, and slightly bitter orange peel giving focus to the finish. Fresh acidities run through the palate and overll you feel a good dousing of spiced herbs from the Petit Verdot. This is at a good moment to drink. Harvest October 1 to 14, Eric and Jacques Boissenot consultant.

The 2002 Lagrange was picked 1 to 14 October. The nose, like many this vintage, feels a little staid nowadays with dusky black fruit, cedar and earthy aromas. It is not particularly memorable. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly chewy tannins and shows more brightness than the nose. Kirsch, cedar and tobacco towards the finish with a touch of black pepper on the aftertaste, it actually finishes better than you expect. Fine. Tasted at the Lagrange vertical at the estate.
Some rather appealing graphite on the nose. Lots of fruit on the front palate – really a rather unusual amount. Still quite a marked charge of tannin. But all seems to be in the right place and proportion. Clean, brisk finish. GV (JR)
