Note di degustazione
Good medium red. Musky, decadent aromas of redcurrant, roasted tomato, mocha and toasted marshmallow. Fat, broad, layered and sweet, offering enticing, full-bodied flavors of red plum, raspberry, mocha and spices. Turns slightly balsamic on the finish, which shows substantial dusty tannins. A point but in no danger of falling apart anytime soon.

Medium red. Smoky raspberry and redcurrant on the nose. Sweet, dense and lush, with slightly medicinal, Morey-like flavors of mocha, menthol, licorice and underbrush. Distinctly tighter today than the Gevrey villages, but still quite pliant and ripe.
There is lovely depth in the dark fruit-laden, aromatic profile of the 2002 Chambolle-Musigny Les Hauts-Doix. This jammy, broad, lush, concentrated, medium-bodied wine delights the palate with its black cherry and toasted oak flavors that linger in its outstanding finish. Drink this flavorful, velvety-textured wine over the next 6-7 years. Importer: A Peter Vezan Selection, Paris fax #011-33-1-42-55-42-93; JAO WINE IMPORTS McLean, Va 703 848 2473
Rather stunted on the nose, hinting at musky currant and blueberry. Then silky, sweet and spicy in the mouth, if distinctly less evolved than the Gevrey villages Has a briary, medicinal quality I associate more with Morey-Saint-Denis, but this vineyard is on the other side of the Chambolle appellation. More marked by the tannins than the Gevrey, and long on the aftertaste.
