(100% new French oak): Inky ruby. Mineral-accented dark berry, licorice, vanilla and pipe tobacco aromas are complemented by oak spice and rose pastille qualities that gain strength with air. Offers intense blackcurrant and bitter cherry flavors that show excellent depth and a subtle touch sweet chewing tobacco on the back half. Finishes with strong tenacity and building tannins and leaves behind Moroccan spice and dark fruit preserve notes.

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2015 Cabernet Franc Estate has a lovely fragrance of baked cherries, blackberries and mulberries with touches of garrigue and dried herbs plus some floral hints. The medium-bodied palate offers very pretty, perfumed fruit expression, with a rather sturdy frame of chewy tannins to lend gravitas, finishing with an herbal lift.
Showing classic Cabernet Franc notes of black currants, earth, damp herbs and licorice, the 2015 Cabernet Franc Estate is full-bodied, rich and sexy on the palate, with good acidity and a great finish. The 2015 is 100% Cabernet Franc which spent 20 months in 100% new French oak. This estate was created in 2010 by brothers Daniel and Georges Daou, and it lies high up off Adelaida Road. Along with l’Aventure and Booker Vineyards, this estate is unquestionably leading the charge with regards to Bordeaux varieties in Paso Robles.
