The 2016 Red Blend Throwback is one of the most expressive open-knit wines in this range. Succulent red cherry, pomegranate, rose petal and mint all meld together in this layered, very pretty wine from Canard. The blend is 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Merlot and 4% Cabernet Franc.

The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Throwback is blended of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Merlot and 4% Cabernet Franc. Deep purple-black in color, it has a nose of Morello cherries, mulberries, warm plums and freshly crushed blackberries with wafts of tilled earth, bay leaves and wood smoke. Medium to full-bodied, it has a firm, chewy texture and just enough freshness to support the savory flavors, finishing earthy.
