2016 Zinfandel Esola Vineyard

The 2016 Zinfandel Esola Vineyard emerges from a site in Amador County planted in 1968. The Esola offers notable power and intensity in its red cherry and blood orange profile. A hint of reduction from aging in large format oak needs time to blow off. I would give the 2016 a few years in bottle to allow some of the edges to soften. There is more than enough structure to support many years of fine drinking. This is a superb wine from Bedrock.
