Punteggio 94/100 · Da bere 2023-2029, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Aug 2023

The 2021 Chardonnay Estate SeaBed brings together all the elements that make these wines so compelling. The SeaBed is marked by its strong savory and phenolic character, with fruit notes that are pushed into the background. It's a wine for readers who appreciate the subtler side of Sonoma Chardonnay.

Punteggio 96/100 · Da bere 2025-2035, Jeb Dunnuck, Jul 2023

A ripe and youthful golden appearance, the 2021 Chardonnay SeaBed Estate is expressive and rounded with ripe Anjou pear, orange zest, and sea spray. Medium-bodied, with a supple texture and a spine of refreshing acidity, it has notes of lemon custard and ripe apple, with snappy freshness and delicate oak spice. It’s well-balanced and long on the palate. Drink 2025-2035. Eric Sussman began Radio-Coteau in 2002, focusing on cool-climate sites along the north Sonoma Coast and the Anderson Valley in Mendocino. Eric purchased the current winery home in 2012, and they currently have 22 acres under vine across from the Charles Heintz Vineyard as well as six acres of apples from which they produce a hard cider. Marking their 22nd vintage, they are currently producing biodynamically farmed Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Noir, Syrah, and Zinfandel and have been Demeter certified since 2018. Eric spent several vintages in France prior to coming to California, working for Baron Philippe de Rothschild in Bordeaux, as well as Domaine Comte Armand and Domaine Jacques Prieur in Burgundy, and his wines certainly carry an Old World sensibility. All the wines undergo native fermentations and are bottled and racked in-house without fining or filtration.
