The 2018 Syrah Great Places Ruben Solorzano emerges from a block that was developed using wood from one of the most famous sites in Côte Rotie. It presents a distinctly aromatic profile to go along with intense aromatics and a real sense of delicacy that distinguishes it in the range. The 2018 is just gorgeous.
Some darker, meaty notes, plums, blueberries, crushed violets, and background meatiness are revealed in the 2018 Great Places Ruben Solorzano, with more spice and floral notes emerging with time in the glass. Better on the palate, the wine is rounded, medium to full-bodied, seamless, and pure. The tannins are better managed here, and it has good freshness as well as some creamy oak. A ripe sexy, beautiful wine, it’s already delicious yet should evolve well.
