Note di degustazione
Tasted blind. Very deep purplish crimson. The most youthful colour. Ripe fruit and light floral notes. Lots of tannin even after all this time. Surely this is Ch Pavie? When will the tannins fade? After the fruit, I fear. Unbalanced and trying too hard. (JR)

The 2011 Pavie has a distinctly earthy bouquet, well-defined with some expressive Cabernet Franc. A little savory, with dried blood developing in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with heavily-extracted tannins, tightening up on the mid-palate, good structure, grippy with a graphite-tinged, Cabernet-driven finish. This could actually benefit from more bottle age. Tasted blind at the annual 10-Year-On tasting.
Tasted blind. Deep lustrous crimson. Very direct and monolithic on the nose. Lovely sweet, gentle texture with a bit of aromatic leafiness. Lots of pleasure here and lots of density. Long (first time I have written that in this tasting of 2011s in 2021). (JR)
Really fresh and bright with a linear and precise palate. Dark berries and chocolate powder. Full body, firm and silky tannins and a silky finish. Just starting to come around now.
