Harvested about a week later than the others in the 2018 lineup, the 2018 Pinot Noir Rosella’s Vineyard opens with generous red fruit, grilled herbs, iodine and a hint of iron. Resolved and settled in, the 80% new oak here is perfectly integrated, presenting only a touch of spicy grip on the finish. Very classy.

From Pommard and the Pisoni selections, the 2018 Pinot Noir Rosella's Vineyard is also bottled under screwcap and boasts a touch more new oak in its profile, but it handles it very well, with notes of black cherry liqueur, cedar, violets, sweet sage, and forest earth. The palate offers a luxurious and well-defined feel, with polished tannins and a floral finish. Medium to bodied, with plush tannins and a great finish, it lasts long on the palate and has a great level of depth that comes through. Drink 2024-2036.
Dark, glistening scarlet. A powerfully scented bouquet evokes spice-tinged red and blue fruits, hibiscus, cola and woodsmoke, along with an exotic hint of blood orange. Stains the palate with concentrated, appealingly sweet raspberry, cherry and boysenberry flavors that are supported by an undercurrent of juicy acidity, which adds back-end cut. The floral and spice notes come back strong on an impressively long, gently chewy finish framed by youthfully gripping tannins.
The 2018 Pinot Noir Rosella's Vineyard was made with about 80% whole cluster and opens with lush aromas of baked blueberries and black cherries with notions of mint leaves, turned earth and blood orange. The palate is medium-bodied with bright, perfumed fruits, super juicy and fresh with a grainy frame and long, nuanced finish.
