The 2012 Prince of Hearts is 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot. It is a tasty, elegant, well-made wine, ready to drink but certainly capable of lasting a decade or more. Some mulberries, baking spices, cedar wood, forest floor and underbrush are all present in this medium-bodied, luscious wine that is meant for near-term consumption.

Red cherry, plum, pomegranate and sweet spices are all pushed forward in a gorgeous, inviting wine that is drinking beautifully right now. Best of all, Prince of Hearts is one of the very finest wines in Napa Valley. The blend is 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot and 1% Petit Verdot.
Lots of juicy and ripe fruit aromas plus hints of chocolate. Roses and flowers too. Full body and plenty of fruit, yet there\'s an underlying firmness at the end. Hints of jam. Drink now.
The 2012 Prince of Hearts is fabulous, especially within its peer group. Bright, fresh, and vibrant, the 2012 is a real eye-opener in terms of what Blankiet put into the bottle for what was their entry-level offering at time. The purity of the fruit is remarkable. Bright red cherry, kirsch, rose petal and blood orange linger.
