The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer-Missouri Hopper shows the pedigree of this site in its layered, sensual feel. Sumptuous and rich on the palate, the 2015 also has a good deal of freshness, especially within the context of the year. The dark red cherry, plum, lavender and spice notes are beautifully sketched. Silky tannins add to the wine’s sheer appeal. (AG)

Inky purple-black in color, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Missouri Hopper has intense cassis, blackberries and warm plums notions on the nose with a vast mélange of Chinese five spice, chargrill, cigar box, menthol and licorice suggestions. Full-bodied, rich, ripe and opulent, it has a solid frame of velvety tannins and well-played freshness, finishing long and earthy.
