Note di degustazione
The light ruby colored 2014 Pinot Noir Tripp’s Block is terrific and shows a seamless, polished style that has surprising length. Raspberries, forest floor, spice and a hint of rose garden all emerge from the glass, and while it’s slightly reticent and backward, it has plenty of aromatic intensity. Shining on the palate, with beautiful tension and elegance, as well as impressive density, it’s a terrific wine that needs 2-3 years of cellaring and is going to age beautifully.

The 2014 Pinot Noir Tripp's Block emerges from the Perli Vineyard, a high altitude site in Mendocino County. Brisk, energetic and saline, the 2014 confers a great deal of mountain energy and tension in its vibrant, chiseled fruit. This is a striking, finely cut Pinot Noir loaded with personality.
This vintage was produced with 30% whole cluster and aged in French barrels for 16 months, 30% new. Pale to medium ruby-purple in color, the 2014 Pinot Noir Tripp’s Block offers delicate wild strawberries, raspberry leaves and rhubarb on the nose with hints of garrigue, lavender, Provence herbs and fertile earth. Medium-bodied with a great backbone of chewy tannins and just enough freshness, it delivers layers of earthy/savory characters with an invigorating herbal lift on the finish. 290 cases were made.
