The 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Cazetiers 1er Cru comprises of just a single barrel this year, 100% whole bunches. It has a tightly-wound but very well defined bouquet, quite mineral-driven and poised, the fruit a little darker than its peers. The palate is medium-bodied with superb tension. This brims over with energy with veins of orange zest and quince towards the vivacious and quite persistent finish. Good luck trying to find this cuvée from Pierre Duroché.

A small cuvée fermented entirely with whole clusters, the 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Les Cazetiers bursts with aromas of blood orange, raspberries and cinnamon. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, ample and expressive, with a juicy core of fruit and a light framing of melting tannins. This is another bottling that will be hard to resist in its youth.
