2021 Ercole Velenosi Ludi

The 2021 Rosso Offida Ludi is remarkably pretty, with a perfumed bouquet of dusty violets, lavender, white smoke and a twist of blood orange and wild blueberries. It’s silky in feel with polished wild berry fruits and chalky minerals. Brisk acidity maintains energy throughout. This finishes spicy and long yet remarkably fresh, balancing youthful structure with a hint of tart cranberry that keeps the mouth watering. Give the 2021 a few years of cellaring for the best effect. Nicely done. The Ludi is a blend of 85% Montepulciano, 7.5% Merlot and 7.5% Cabernet Sauvignon.
