2015 Domaine Frédéric Magnien Charmes-Chambertin Les Mazoyeres Grand Cru

Healthy dark red. Reduced aromas of raspberry, red licorice and game. Sweet and fleshy yet reticent and backward, conveying a strong medicinal cast to its black cherry fruit. Boasts ripe acidity but the wine's serious tannic spine will require at least several years of cellaring. A bit underwhelming today, not to mention difficult to taste.
