2018 Grottafumata Terre Siciliane Lato Sud Carricante

The 2018 Carricante Lato Sud is a deep golden color, while lifting from the glass with nuances of raw almond, peach skins and yellow flowers. This washes across the palate with rich orchard fruits and brown spices, while remaining lifted and savory in character. The Lato Sud fades lightly structured, leaving hints of pear and ginger. This is interesting, to say the least, and certainly worth following over a handful of years.
