Raised in 500-liter barrels for a year, the 2017 Viré-Clessé Les Gandines offers up notes of almond paste, fresh pea, green apples and smoke, followed by a medium to full-bodied, deep and muscular palate that's concentrated and multidimensional, with ripe balancing acids and a saline finish. This cuvée derives from 1.3 hectares of vines that are between 60 and 90 years old.
