Tempranillo. Vines are situated in Briones (Rioja Alta) at 550 m and date back to 1931. Moderate yields (4,100 kg/ha). Hand harvested, sourcing table, wild yeast, French and American oak used for ageing during eight months. Rioja Integrated Style. Patent presence of oak, ripe cherries, clove and a vinous character on the nose. Light and pleasant style, with a very well integrated alcohol and clay textured tannins. Delicate and long style of rioja, slightly drying back palate. Attractive and easy drinking although not too complex. (FC)

The 2010 Unnum is a young, modern wine aged for a short period of time in mostly new French oak barrels. At the moment the wine is quite muted, it seems to have the stuffing to develop much, but it’s a bit clipped in the middle palate. It has good balance, but right now this is a big question mark for me. Wait a couple of years. Drink 2016-2020.
