Note di degustazione
A denser, more concentrated, backward wine, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Mount Veeder checks in as 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot brought up in 60% new French oak. Its saturated purple/plum color is followed by classic Mount Veeder notes of sagebrush and bay leaf as well as ample blackcurrant and plum fruits, graphite, smoke tobacco and earth. Gorgeous on the palate, with full-bodied richness yet considerable elegance and purity, it has ripe tannins, terrific balance, and a great finish. Drink this beauty any time over the coming 20-25 years.

(85% cabernet sauvignon, the rest merlot and petit verdot): Bright ruby-red. High-pitched perfume of blackberry and licorice lifted by a violet topnote. Dense and classically dry, with a primary medicinal character to the flavors of blueberry, bitter chocolate, violet and minerals. Conveys a distinctive briary mountain fruit quality. Finishes with substantial youthfully tough tannins and a lingering note of tropical dark chocolate.
