Note di degustazione
Full bottle 1,284 g. 100% Pinot Noir. In 2013 the city of Dijon purchased a 160-ha property on the edge of the city, complete with a winery and 8 ha of planted land (5 red, 3 white). They then ran a competition, the prize: to run the estate and have free rein on the wine made there. Marc Soyard – whose name also appears on the label – was the winner. Biodynamic but not certified. Mid crimson. Aroma of sour cherry and cranberry. Those flavours on the palate too. Delicious silky freshness. Pure, tart red fruit but the wine is balanced. Barely any tannins but the wine has structure thanks to the acidity. Might be too tart for anyone not an acid freak. I love it. (JH)

Notes of sweet berry fruit, plums, spices and loamy soil introduce Soyard's 2018 Bourgogne Pinot Noir Côteaux de Dijon "Cras," a medium to full-bodied, fleshy and muscular wine that's lively and sapid, combining remarkable intensity of flavor with a decidedly modest 11.5% alcohol. This cuvée is produced from a massal selection taken from Domaine Tollot-Beaut in Chorey-lès-Beaune.
