The average age in the blend of the NV Rare Para Tawny is 18 years. It's substantially more concentrated than the Grand, with rich notes of molasses, candied nuts, even a touch of meat jus, all balanced by hints of orange zest that provide terrific length and freshness.

Very smoky and toasty with toffee and caramel character. Burnt almonds. Full body. Very sweet. Creamy and exciting. Tangy acidity. Lively blend. This has 18-plus years of age. Drink now. Screw cap.
A blend of Shiraz, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon and Mourvèdre from extremely low yielding Barossa Valley vines is given extended maturation in small oak casks before blending. Average age c 20 years. pH 3.49, TA 6.6 g/l Deep golden amber brown. Quite sweet. Rich and so intense and yet still with a lovely fresh candied peel flavour to the very long finish. (JH)
Mid translucent orange. Blended by the long-serving winemaker here, James Godfrey. This is quite a different style from the Paras, firmer, drier and with a hint of madeira to it. Lots of lift and rancio. A bit richer than a Verdelho. Transparent and whistle clean. (JR)
