The 2009 Rendition is totally dominated by French oak. There is plenty of opulence and richness in the glass, but it is hard to see anything beyond that through the massive veneer of oak. The 2009 Rendition is 53% Syrah, 41% Grenache and 6% Zinfandel.

The 2009 Rendition is 53% Syrah, 41% Grenache and 6% Zinfandel that spent 18 months in mostly French oak, 50% new, before being bottled with no fining or filtration. It shows good up-front juiciness in its dark fruit but then loses some persistence on the mid-palate. Blackberries, blueberries, licorice and spices linger on the finish.
