Another steal in terms of wine value is the 2013 Garnacha, which is a 15,000-case blend of 85% Grenache and 15% Tempranillo that is fermented and aged in stainless steel. This special cuvée has been a huge success commercially for many years. Lots of strawberry, black cherry and fruitcake aromas intermixed with hints of earthy, sandy notes jump from the glass of this 2013. It reveals vivid, exuberant fruit, medium body, super purity and a wonderful, fresh, lively, boisterous, satisfying style. This Grenache fruit-bomb should be drunk over the next several years.

Garnacha, Tempranillo, Syrah. Slightly jammy palate, with a sort of burnt rubber character. Crude, though technically well balanced. (RH)
(includes 15% tempranillo; done in stainless steel): Deep ruby. Cherry, dark berries, vanilla and peppery spices on the fragrant nose. Smooth, pliant and juicy, showing a subtle spiciness to its open-knit blackberry and cherry flavors. Finishes smoky, broad and persistent, leaving dark berry and black pepper notes behind. Lots of wine for the money here, as is normal for this bottling.
