1996 York Creek Vineyards Meritage

Deep red-ruby. Briary, fruity aromas of black plum, cassis, chocolate and mint. Intensely flavored if not particularly dense; a slight vegetal note contributes to the wine complexity. Rather pliant for York Creek red wine, which generally features high acidity. Finishes with slightly tough tannins and firm acids.
