Punteggio 17.5/20 · Da bere 2026-2036, Jancis Robinson MW, Apr 2025

Mmmm! Really savoury and exciting on the nose. This is very classy. Still with quite a bit of tannin but it's clearly going to shine. Really quite burgundian. (JR)

Made from clone 943 and fermented in oak, the 2022 Pinot Noir Novo Vivo is an homage to winemaking director Thomas Savre’s time at DRC. Fermented in open-top oak and raised in 50% new oak barrels, the wine is a deep magenta hue and is highly perfumed with layered notes of violets, kirsch, black raspberries, anise, and fantastic layered spices. It has velvety tannins, a fantastic, plush balance, and a long finish. It is only going to improve with time, so give this one another few years and drink over the following 20 years.

Punteggio 96/100 · Da bere 2026-2036, Eric Guido, Vinous

The 2022 Pinot Noir Novo Vivo is distinctly savory in the glass, as dusty rose and nuances of olive give way to flint stones and dried wild strawberries to form its darkly seductive bouquet. Pure elegance follows, silky and pure, with plush red berry fruits and mineral tones complicated by a sweet herbal tinge, all supported by cooling acidity. The palate is hauntingly long, mixing sour cherries with rosemary and a hint of blood orange, finishing with excellent length and beautifully balanced structure. Easily one of the top Pinot Noirs from the 2022 vintage.
