This is a steady and compact wine, but I suspect the estate used its best fruit elsewhere in its top-end offerings. This is understandable given the excellence of the vintage. The 2016 Langhe Nebbiolo Il Principe is a bit tired and flat in the mouth. Some 30,000 bottles were made.
