2006 Summers Winery Merlot

The outstanding 2006 Merlot Reserve merits attention despite the fact that fickle consumers have, for some reason, turned against this varietal. It reveals attractive chocolaty, berry fruit intermixed with a damp forest floor note. Medium to full-bodied, with silky tannins, and a luscious, heady finish, it should drink well for 5-7 years.
