Closed with a reusable glass cork, the Cantina del Pino 2018 Dolcetto d'Alba is a brilliant and cheerful expression. The bouquet is happily redolent of dark fruit, dried blueberry and summer cherry. The wine delivers bright, high-energy fruit with the snappy freshness you need next to a wood-oven Margherita pizza. The simplicity and the freshness of the wine keeps your palate clean after every delicious bite. Some 6,000 bottles were made.

Cantina del Pino's 2018 Dolcetto d'Alba is soft, pleasant and easygoing, with good depth in its dark cherry, plum, mocha, spice and leather flavors. This is about as good as it gets for the vintage. The Dolcetto here is done entirely in steel.
