2007 Santa Cruz Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon Luchessi Vineyard

The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Luchessi Vineyard was a highlight of my lineup from this historic winery. It leads with secondary aromas of dried herbs, dried leaves, red plums and gravel dust. The classically sized palate is still impressively supple and lithe for a 17-year-old Cabernet, closing with a timeless, dusty, leathery finish. This is in its prime currently but should have another decade or so of life ahead of it.
